How to Streamline Workshop Attendance with QR Codes

A step-by-step tutorial for setting up a reliable, professional check-in system for your next seminar or training class in minutes.

Prepare your Participant List

Start with a blank Google Sheet or open your existing registration list. Ensure you have headers for the essential information: 'Name', 'Email', and any other identifiers like 'Company' or 'Employee ID'. If you are running a multi-session event (e.g., morning and afternoon workshops), you don't need separate sheets; the add-on handles session logic.

Configure & Send Passes

Open the 'QR Code Ticket' add-on. Map your columns so the system knows which column contains the email address. Design a simple, professional PDF ticket—you can add your organization's logo and the workshop agenda. Once ready, click to generate and send unique QR codes to your entire list via email or WhatsApp.

Scan for Attendance

On the day of the event, use the free mobile app to scan codes as participants arrive. You'll get a green 'Valid' screen for authorized guests. All check-in data, including timestamps, is instantly synced back to your Google Sheet, giving you a ready-made report for issuing certificates or proving compliance.
