How to create QR code tickets from Google Forms responses
Updated May 20, 2026. Publisher: QR Code Ticket by Darkaa.
The short answer
If people register for your event through a Google Form, the QR Code Ticket Per Response add-on can send each of them a personal QR code ticket automatically, right after they submit the form. You keep using the form you already have; the add-on watches for new responses, creates a ticket for each one, and emails it out. At the event, you scan the tickets with any smartphone.
Step by step
-
1.Install the add-on on your form
Install QR Code Ticket Per Response For Check-In from the Google Workspace Marketplace and open it from your form's add-on menu.
-
2.Tell it where the email lives
Choose the form question that collects the guest's email address. That is where each ticket will be sent.
-
3.Design the ticket
Add your logo and choose which answers appear on the ticket, for example the guest's name and ticket type. The preview shows exactly what guests will receive.
-
4.Turn on automatic sending
Once automatic sending is on, every new response gets its ticket by email within moments of submitting the form. You can pause and restart this at any time.
-
5.Cover the people who already registered
If your form already has responses from before you installed the add-on, send tickets to those earlier responses in one batch.
-
6.Scan at the door
On event day, open the scanner on your phone and check guests in. Every scan is recorded, and you can see attendance for the whole event afterwards.

Common questions
Do tickets really go out by themselves?
Yes. Once automatic sending is on, each new form response receives its ticket by email without you touching anything. You can pause it whenever you want.
What about people who registered before I set this up?
You can send tickets to all earlier responses in one batch, so nobody who already registered is left out.
What if a response has a wrong or missing email?
The add-on shows you which responses could not be delivered, so you can fix the address and resend instead of losing the guest.
