Why the QR code holds no guest information

People often expect the ticket QR code to contain the guest details. It does not, on purpose.

A short code stays easy to scan

The more you put inside a QR code, the denser it becomes, and the longer it takes a camera to read it, especially on a printed sheet or a dim phone screen. A short code stays readable in a hurry.

Nothing sensitive travels on the ticket

If a ticket is photographed, shared or lost, it reveals no address and no phone number. The guest details stay in your sheet and in your check-in app.

Guest details still appear during the scan

Your staff see the name and the details you chose, because the scanner looks them up when the code is scanned. You decide what appears there.
