How to email QR code tickets to your guest list
Updated May 20, 2026. Publisher: QR Code Ticket by Darkaa.
The short answer
The QR Code Ticket add-ons send each guest a personal email with their ticket attached as a PDF. You choose the column or form question that holds the email address, write a short message, and send. Guests do not need an account or an app; the ticket in their inbox is all they need at the door. You can also deliver tickets by WhatsApp where email is not the best channel.
Step by step
-
1.Pick the email column
Tell the add-on which column of your sheet, or which form question, holds each guest's email address.
-
2.Write your message
Write a short email in your own words. You can include guest details like the name or ticket type, so each message reads personally.
-
3.Send a test to yourself first
Put your own address on one row and send just that one. Check how the email and the attached PDF ticket look before sending to everyone.
-
4.Send to your list
Send to all guests, or only to the rows you choose. The add-on keeps track of who has already received a ticket, so nobody gets doubles.
-
5.Handle the stragglers
If an address bounces or Gmail's daily sending limit holds some emails, the add-on shows you exactly which guests are still waiting, and picks up where it left off.

Common questions
What does the guest actually receive?
A normal email from you with their personal ticket attached as a PDF. The ticket shows their name, your event details, and their QR code.
Is there a limit on how many emails I can send per day?
Google applies its usual Gmail daily sending limits to your account. If you hit the limit, the remaining tickets are held and sent the next day automatically.
Can I send tickets by WhatsApp instead?
Yes. Where guests live on their phones more than in their inbox, you can deliver tickets by WhatsApp using WhatsApp credits.
