Custom QR content source

Use this when migrating from another ticketing system or printing your own QR codes.

Step 1

Keep the external QR value

Store the text inside the existing QR code in a sheet column or form question.

Step 2

Select that field

Choose it as Custom QR content source, under Check-in settings → Advanced check-in settings.

Step 3

Scan either QR

The check-in app recognizes both your existing QR code and the ticket created by the add-on.

How it works

Old codes and new tickets open the same guest When the text inside your existing QR code is stored in a column, scanning that old code opens the same guest as the ticket created here. Your sheet Name External QR code Ada Mensah BADGE-2291 Your old badge New QR ticket staff scan either one Welcome Ticket accepted Ada Mensah Copy the text stored inside the code, not a picture of it. Each guest needs their own value.
Badges you already printed keep working next to the new tickets.

Example

A QR code using the value from External QR code opens the same attendee as the generated ticket.
